We left Cadiz around 3pm local time, steamed westward along the coast and turn north (ish) into the River Guadalquivir towards Seville. We are due to arrive at 2am Saturday morning.
These are a few photos taken as we traverse the river.

Fishing boat moored.

Looking back towards the estuary.

The river seems to be surrounded by salt marshes.

The mounds of salt. If you look closely in the second photo the white blobs over the ponds are actually pink flamingos. Too far away to get a decent picture.

We passed this ship on its way towards the sea. We assumed that “St. John’s” is Canada.
It is now 20.40 local time and the light is going – sunset was a few minutes after 8pm local time. (7pm in the UK).
